They offer free sign up for affiliates, they take care of all the administrative work, and they provide a data suite, which enables both affiliates and merchants to track the real-time results. Merchants are able to choose from a massive pool of affiliates finding the ones that best suit their needs, and who are willing to work within the parameters the merchant sets.
Merchant Options
Merchants have the ability to select not only the affiliates they work with, but can also select the type of links as well as the terms for which commission will be paid out to the affiliates be it click through or pay per action basis.

With a company the size of Awin, a level of personal involvement is taken out. They do provide account management, but it is difficult to get direct answers to many questions. It also lacks many options for the affiliate. They have little to no say in who they work with, or where the ads will be displayed.

Awin doesn't disclose how much it's going to cost to use their services. Not knowing the prices on the services you want to use make it really difficult to understand your expenses, as well as how flexible your contract is going to be when it comes to extra charges and cancellation fees.
