TorGuard offers their customers several options to purchase a subscription to their VPN services. They have several products to help customers browse securely, but for the purpose of this review, The Review Team is only addressing the specifics of the company's VPN services. When purchasing VPN services, the customer selects one of four options for their preferred billing term. VPN Service Terms- Monthly - $9.99/month
- Quarterly - $19.99/every 3 months
- Semi Annual - $29.99/every 6 months
- Yearly - $59.99/year
Speed
TorGuard customers report that their connections are slowed down using the VPN tunnel. This is typical since data must travel through various servers before reaching the end user. As a general rule, the distance from the server (geographically) and the level of encryption are the two most common factors which affect the speed of a VPN. TorGuard returned an average download connection speed of 10.27 Mbps and 5.25 Mbps for uploads. TorGuard states that each of their servers have the capability of 100 + Mbps. This statement is unique among companies in the industry, which typically do not disclose the capability of their servers in regards to speed. While the company reports higher capability, their in-use statistics are affected by the number of users attempting to connect to the server, among other factors.Transparency
TorGuard publishes their terms of services and privacy policy online. These documents are comprehensive and address many common issues. Customer Support TorGuard offer these options which customers may use to receive support. Their Knowledge Base is filled with several articles as well as videos to help customers troubleshoot their various challenges. TorGuard may also be reached via a live chat option, by a toll-free (US) phone number, and with an online ticket program. Customers report various levels of success in contacting the company, with some receiving assistance within minutes or hours, and others waiting for days. A nearly equal number of reports from customers suggest that the company responds in an appropriate and expected fashion to customer requests.Extra features

TorGuard does not offer a free trial of their VPN services, rather a 7-Day money back guarantee if customers are not satisfied with the service. There are several instances during which TorGuard states that they reserve the right to refuse the refund or customers forfeit their right to a refund.. These include:- The refund is requested after seven days from the date of purchase
- The refund is being requested and the customer has exhibited excessive usage during their first seven days of their subscription
- The customer has violated the terms and services during their first seven days of their subscription

This is NOT that Tor that you hear in horror stories about the dark web (many people's initial reaction). TorGuard is a perfectly serviceable VPN option - they do a great job of blocking ads when you're browsing. Often after iOS or app updates you may see ads peek through, but it isn't long before TorGuard has figured out their tricks and blocked them again so be patient. The two knocks I'd have against them are a) their privacy policy makes me feel like they may be harvesting/reselling data and b) they do try and push you toward their other services (email, etc.) somewhat aggressively.

I went with TorGuard to block ads and pop Ups. 5 stars! Many servers and Fully Reliable. There are a few subscription offers, I currently pay roughly 15.00 monthly AND WELL WORTH IT!

Good product. I started using them a few years ago while traveling on my phone and personal laptop. I've seen fewer security problems since then. The VPN has gotten a lot easier to set up over the past few years.
