Insurance Limitations

Priceline's travel protection has a few limitations: it is not available outside of the United States and does not cover voluntary changes or cancellations.

Lack of International Options

For American travelers looking to travel internationally, Priceline may not be the best bet. The company's only international destinations are Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Cancun.

The Bottom Line

Priceline allows customers to book a number of services and provides its customers with a mobile app, a rewards program, and travel protection options. However, Priceline's travel insurance has a few limitations and the company only offers accommodations in a few international destinations.

I used Priceline to book our last cruise. It was an easy process to get the tickets and I called in and worked with a ticketing agent who was extremely helpful and friendly. However, we booked with them to get specific rewards from Priceline and those rewards were never given to us.

When looking for a last minute hotel in Flagstaff, AZ I used Priceline to get a great hotel at a great price. I didn't love not specifically choosing the hotel we got, but it all worked out and was able to pick the general area.

As a travel agency, Priceline has the best prices for flights, but not always for other things - such as hotels.
