A "Michelle" from Fortress Financial called the company I work for several days ago. I knew it was a solicitation and asked directly if it was a solicitation. Michelle lied to me and said that it wasn't a solicitation. I asked if it was regarding tax matters and she replied in the affirmative. I then informed her that I was aware that her call, in fact, was to solicit business and asked her to put us on their "Do Not Call" List as I've been told to do by these tax resolution companies. The reason for this negative review is because these companies, Fortress Financial included, are very aggressive with their tactics and flat out LIE and say they aren't soliciting business when they actually are. This needs to be stopped. I did record the conversation and can provide the recording if needed. Today, 6/07/19, I received another call from Fortress Financial even though I told them to put them on their Do Not Call list. I have a picture of the phone display showing they called today and recorded the conversation even though the person on the other line said nothing and just hung up on me.

Please respond with a phone number and we will gladly add it as a blocked number in our system (making it impossible to make outbound calls). You can also call in and request a manager who can block your number from outbound calls.

After the IRS issued liens and seizure notices for liabilities in excess of $1M dating back to 2006-2008, it was time to get this issue resolved. You can imagine our heartache, fear, and loss for what to do after many floods had destroyed most records that old. After much research, we hired Fortress Tax Relief and worked with David F. and Heather W. to bring this issue to resolution. They were professional, dealt directly with the IRS Revenue Officer, provided sound legal advice, and always contacted us or replied in less than 1 business day. We even located old receipts & were able to reconstruct some of our tax records using the IRS reconstruction method, which helped us prove the liability was substantially less than stated. Plus, the IRS expiration date (CSED) was fast approaching. While dealing with this, my husband had a heart attack and I was diagnosed with breast cancer. When it was all said and done, the liens and subseqent seizures were released. We have a new start and are excited, relieved, and blessed. We truly felt like a "David & Goliath" moment had occurred. We thank David F, Heather W, and above all, God, for helping us through this crisis!

I was confident my concerns would be mitigated due to their experience with both the state and federal authorities. While I debated securing the payment plans and abatement requests on my own, I'm grateful I chose Fortess to provide these services. They were able to secure the lowest rate payment plan, and write and deliver the abatement letter that exceeded my expectations. Personally I never really had any experience with Fortress, but my Dad did. After he passed away in October, I was looking through his financials and trying to make head or tails of a mountain of paperwork and I came across email from one of Fortress' employees Sayward. The emails were of my dad telling Sayward how much he appreciated her and how much she helped him in his time of need. He went on to sa y how professional she was and how he was pleased with their service. After he passed away I had to call her and get information on what was going on because we had no clue. I'm writing today to share my experience with Fortress Tax Relief thus far. I began working them the late last year and to date everything they've promised, has been delivered. And, though they may be a little pricey, I've found them worth every penny. They respond timely, namely Jenny H. and Jeremy D., and they do exactly what they say they will. I'd give them 5 stars any day with the service I've receive so far. Throughout the process of trying to complete an offer in compromise, the IRS filed a tax lien against me. When I brought it to the attention of the team at Fortress Tax Relief, they promptly contacted the appropriate parties within the IRS and with 2 weeks the lien was withdrawn. I'm still awaiting a response on the Offer in Compromise, but feel confident with the the representation I've chosen and would not hesitate to recommend them and their services to anyone I know.

Fortress, along with a long list of tax relief competitors, markets directly to businesses against whom a tax lien has been filed. Many competitors' standard operating procedure is to drag all competing companies' names through the mud. Fortress refrains from stooping to their level and joining in the mud-slinging game. Our reputation speaks for itself. The fact that a competitor actually endorsed us is almost unheard of in this industry, but actually happens somewhat regularly to us.
