The Good

• Targeted marketing
• Features
• Major social media platform support
• Weekly snapshot reports

Scion Social provides targeted marketing with their reverse engineered social media campaigns. They also provide collaborative teams, real time reporting, access to customized dashboards, content experts who create creative content, effective timelines, continuous campaign review processes, and more. Each plan comes with a large list of features like weekly reporting, detailed monthly reports, dedicated account manager with each project, project Gantt Charts, plenty of posts per month, and customized successful campaigns. They support almost all of the major social media platforms, including: Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Youtube, Instagram, Pinterest, and blogs. Users will receive weekly snapshot reports. They also have the ability to set up analytics and reporting on the backend of their social media profiles. They do not mention if these are printable or convertible to CSV, PDF, or Excel files.

The Bad

• Expensive packages
• No mobile app
• Limited number of linked accounts

Their packages are expensive. Their cheapest package is $700 per month, and they can go upwards of $5000 per month. They also don't state what each plan is specifically, which shows a lack of transparency. Scion Social does not provide consumers with a mobile app for either iOS or Android at this time. The number of accounts and pages a user can link up their profile is a small amount compared to the competition. It's also a small amount considering how the monthly price is. The highest amount of accounts and pages a user can link up is 6 accounts with the Elite plan.

The Bottom Line

Scion Social definitely provides consumers with an all-around and complete social media campaign strategy. They have four packages that can be tweaked and customized to each individual client's needs. However, these packages are more expensive than most of their competitors. They do not provide brand monitoring, and their reporting capabilities are minimal for the price. For these reasons, we do not recommend them as a social media tool.
