The Bad

• Lack some features
• Limited security
• Limited editing tools

Fotolog is a simple photo sharing and social media site. Since their main focus is photo blogging they lack a few perks that competitors have available. Here is what they can improve on:

• Costs $5 a month to remove ads (become a Gold member)
• Must be a Gold member to personalize your page
• Limited security, you can block certain users
• No photo syncing
• No multiple file up loader
• Very mediocre picture editing tools
• Mobile app is limited to certain countries (Not available in the US)

One of the biggest issues with Fotolog is the Gold membership program. Most competing social media sites don't charge for the removal of advertisements. Another large concern is that Fotolog serves over 200 countries, which means that users comments are in a variety of different languages. This isn't a concern when your browsing your friends profiles; however, when you explore new photos it would be convenient if Fotolog offered a translation button so users can explore new accounts a little easier.

The Bottom Line

We would recommend Fotolog as a legitimate photo blogging site. With the sense of connection and community on the site, you have a lot of opportunity to share and explore new photos. Even though there isn't a mobile app, Fotolog is a great place for you to share photos with a large community of users.
