The "Salaries" feature has been helpful in benchmarking how much to ask for in compensation when getting a job offer. I advise individuals in negotiating salary and the salary resource is great.

I've used Glassdoor when looking for job comparisons and pay information. Though it's an easy to use site to use, I don't have complete confidence in their posted wages.

Glassdoor website as a job posting site for applicants to review and apply for jobs often has outdated postings. The actual jobs available have often already closed for application submission. The post also is limited in job details and requires you to click a link to the company website for more detailed information.

When looking at employers I usually do a quick check on Glassdoor just to see if it is a mess...unfortunately to really get in the weeds you need a subscription. I'd rather just see ads or something than have to pay.

Great info for jobs but is extremely repetitive and can be quite far away from what your looking for, sends out way too many notifications, emails, really poorly designed app.

Easier to actually apply to jobs than a lot of job searching websites that don't ever seem to take you to the right place and not as many annoying useless emails.

Why so stingy with the reviews? This company doesn't wanna provide sufficient information on potential employers for a prospect to make an informed decision. Charge the company, not the prospect.

Most job search websites pull up very similar jobs. The thing about Glassdoor is employees commenting on the company. However, they tend to attract disgruntled employees and companies are not allowed to comment on bad reviews.

Glassdoor is really a questionable product. It has decent reviews of companies, but typically only will show when there is a serious internal problem. Speaking only from personal experience, the salary estimates are pretty off and the interview sections are meaningless.
