Great pricing compared to competition. Customer service was VERY helpful throughout the process - with photos, impressions, and even answered pesky questions. They always get back to me within about a day. I paid all at once, it's been a very good experience for me all around.

An orthodontist gave us a quote of $5500 for braces. Smile Direct Club straightened my daughter's teeth for $2000 without having to go to Ortho visits. They even gave free teeth whitening. She just finished the program and her smile is beautiful, just what we hoped for. I'm hoping to get my son started on Smile Direct Club next

It seemed like they were pushing to sell. I said I was waiting to see if my insurance would cover it. The person questioned me "Would you let insurance not covering stop you from straightening your smile?" I told her I didn't have the money and she insisted they worked with my insurance all the time and it would be fine to sign up for the fast track payments and I would for sure get reimbursed. Come to find out, my insurance does not cover SmileDirect and never has.
The Final Word
However, that doesn’t take into consideration several other factors that will affect the final price. Depending on which company you choose, you could be paying for the impression kit, retainers, teeth whiteners, and other additional or replacement products.
While SnapCorrects treatment plan is cheaper, its impression kit costs $95. SmileDirectClub’s at-home impression kit is only $49.
While you may be paying more for the impression kit, you’ll get your first set of retainers for free with SnapCorrect. Keep in mind that if you need a replacement or additional retainer, you’ll need to shell out $99 per set. SmileDirectClub also charges $99 for retainers, but unlike SnapCorrect, you’ll have to buy your first set.
Both companies will throw in a few free teeth whitening products along with your treatment plan.
Another thing to consider before choosing to go with either company is the average treatment time. SnapCorrect informs their customers that no two treatment plans are going to be the same and therefore determining an exact treatment time will depend on the customer. That being said, the company advertises a 9-month average treatment time.
SmileDirectClub’s average treatment time is just six months.
Overall, if you want to save a bit of money and don’t mind a longer treatment time, SnapCorrect might be a good option to look into. But if you want a company with a few more years of experience in the industry, cheaper impression kit, and a shorter treatment time, SmileDirectClub is the better choice.
