LeafFilter installs a micromesh screen made from surgical-grade stainless steel (which neither rusts nor corrodes) to protect your gutter from leaves, dirt, and other debris. The mesh is 275 microns fine, so LeafFilter claims that not even shingle grit will get through.

Additionally, LeafFilter uses a frame made from durable uPVC material that will never warp or deteriorate. So, whether you are dealing with a hot, humid summer in Florida or a below-freezing winter in Michigan, LeafFilter’s gutter cover will maintain its structural integrity no matter the weather.

The last piece of LeafFilter’s three-piece gutter system is the structural hangers. The hangers are internal and securely fastened into the fascia board.

Installation Process

Guaranteed Debris Protection

LeafFilter boasts that its award-winning and patented technology is designed to keep everything out of your gutters (except for water). The micromesh screen is so fine that it keeps out dirt, pollen, shingle grit, and pine needles.

Lifetime Warranty

Leaf Filter offers a lifetime warranty, covering any damage in need of repair. Leaf Filter stands by its product and maintains that its filters are the best in the industry.

Does Not Outsource Work

LeafFilter takes pride in working with consumers throughout the entire process. This ensures that all gutter systems are designed and installed to the company’s highest standards and that all customers are receiving superior customer service.

While some consumers don’t mind working with multiple companies, our research team has found that more consumers prefer to work with vertically integrated companies or companies that handle every aspect of the process. LeafFilter is a vertically integrated company, so you’ll never have to worry about coordinating multiple contractors and their schedules.

Installation Process

LeafFilter’s installation process is a fairly simple one. To get started, a LeafFilter technician will come by your home (for free) and determine the best solution. Once that is complete, you’ll schedule a day for the technician to come back and remove your old gutter guards and install new ones if necessary.

Then LeafFilter will clean and prepare your current gutter system for installation. This includes removing debris and making minor repairs such as properly sealing seams, correcting pitch, and looking for any other signs of damage.

The final step is to secure the LeafFilter to your gutter. This process should only take a few hours (but it depends on your home and situation).

The Bottom Line

The LeafFilter gutter guard lifetime warranty and rapid expansion attest to its success. Leaf Filter has done well because of its dedication to customer satisfaction, and we can confidently recommend LeafFilter if you are in its service area.

William Brent LaMascus California

Hello. My name is William. I am in the central valley of California. My fiance and I decided to purchase a home. And in doing so, we decided to have one built. In that process, one of the things that kept coming to my mind was: get all of the things that needed to be done with the home, all of the maintenance together before it started to erode and destroy my dream home. One of those things that I had thought about doing for quite some time was LeafFilter. The LeafFilter product, it seemed to me like it was protecting not only the house and the ground below but also the roof: the systems within the roof and keeping the moisture out of my home. One of the things that happened upon my first inquiry was, I had a visit from a very friendly salesperson who came to my home showed me several different options of leaf and gutter filter systems that were available in stores and different places. Then she showed me the LeafFilter system that seemed to be the most strengthened and long- lasting system that I could have afforded. The process was very simple. Once we went through all of the setup time and scheduling, the installer came out and in one day was able to get everything completed with very little noise. The system was in place, and I was billed for the amount that I had agreed to. And, it's been in place since. I have made several recommendations, and I will continue to recommend the system to all of my friends and neighbors, and especially in the neighborhood where I live, they're all new homes. And, they are all appreciative of the fact that I have started this process here, and they're able to see it in actual live action. So, um, I hope you guys have a great day.

We just went through a bit of a cold snap here in Texas. Lots of rain, sleet, and ice. My new gutters worked perfectly. I am so happy that I chose LeafFilter gutters for my house. The downspouts are lightweight and one at the front of my house was dented during my move in. Need to see about getting that fixed. These gutters are a bit pricey but are so well worth it!

All the people were friendly and helpful. The product was installed the day after I signed the contract. The only reason they didn't get an excellent for customer service was because they made a quarter-sized hole in my screen and I was told to take pictures and submit it to the company. For the price, I would have expected an offer to submit it for me. Addendum: I was contacted by Robert D from LeaffFlter after my review was posted and within hours it was arranged that they would reimburse me for having the screen repaired. It doesn't get much better than that!

The screen cover looks good but the first time it rained the water just ran off the edge of the drain, it didn't go through the screen. After about five minutes the water finally went through. Maybe small particles of dirt or dust need to be washed off by the rain first. We really haven't had them long enough to make a fair judgement. We will see what happend's after all this snow.

It's worth noting that while they sell you on avoiding ice dams, the warranty specifically excludes those. I've seen considerable icicles on my gutters, so I'm not convinced these guards do much to prevent ice dams. My other issue was with pricing and scheduling. They first quote a crazy high price and then slowly reduce it-in my case it came down by over 70% ($17k to $4.6k) but only if I signed immediately. Then I was told to be home the very next day for the installation. So I stayed home from work but they never came or called. When I called at the end of the day they said they'd be out the next morning. So I stayed home again but again no one showed. Finally on the third try they showed and got the install done that day.

I haven't had the system long enough to have a story. All I can say is the installation was neat and efficient and done quickly. Unless you were above the roofline you wouldn't know it was there.
