Eco Engineering was founded in 1993 as a provider of energy-efficient lighting services for local commercial and industrial buildings in the greater Cincinnati area. The early years of Eco Engineering included projects involving single building facilities, helping customers update their lighting systems to use more energy-saving technology.
Eco Engineering has continued to grow with acquisitions and personnel across North America. It has become one of the largest independent lighting service providers in the country.
Its mission has been consistent no matter the size of its clients: Eco Engineering helps customers lower operation costs while improving the visual appearance of the facility. It takes pride in its service to reduce energy consumption and help preserve our planet.

A lot of Eco Engineering’s clientele are large-scale plants and companies. Since lighting is crucial for companies to be able to get their work done, shutting down a production facility for a week to switch the lighting system would not be possible for most companies. Eco Engineering has figured out how to effectively perform lighting upgrades and installations while businesses stay open.
One client, who is a director at Coca-Cola, shared his appreciation for Eco Engineering in helping Coca-Cola reduce its electric bill and be able to come into the facility with little interference of the company’s day-to-day business by putting in a lighting system during one of the busiest production times of the year.
Growth
Eco Engineering has proven to be a major player in the lighting industry. Its understanding of the market has helped it grow from a local company to acquiring many lighting companies and contractors across the country.
Its project management service bundles the ability for businesses to have their current lighting systems audited to understand current usage, a new system designed and installed, and help in applying for and receiving all the financial incentives available.

Eco Engineering generally provides service only to large-scale companies, so residential customers will need to look elsewhere for lighting and energy services.
The Bottom Line
Eco Engineering is a company for large-scale projects, not for residential customers. Most of its business is multiple warehouse unit projects for large corporations, so unless you are the director of building maintenance at a large corporation, you probably won’t be in the market for hiring Eco Engineering.
Still, Eco Engineering is an impressive force in the energy market. It found a need in the market, worked hard to grow and over three decades, and has grown to be one of the largest independent lighting companies in North America.
