Unique Therapies
One of the most unique aspects of Elements are the different types of therapies offered to clients, no matter where they decide to have therapy. Though specific therapies vary at each location, the majority will include the following:- Medically monitored drug detox
- Individual and group therapy
- Family therapy
- Trauma-focused therapies such as EMDR
- Adventure therapies
- Equine therapy
- Alternative therapies like acupuncture and massage therapy
- An emphasis on proper nutrition and fitness
- Mindfulness practices
- 12 steps and 12-step alternatives
- A focus on spirituality
- Addiction education
- Evidence-based medications as clinically appropriate
- Creative approaches like art therapy and music therapy
Unique Programs
Though Elements includes a lot of different therapies, they also include some more specialized treatment programs, like the Three Strands Christian Alcohol & Drug Rehab program. This program is essentially a "track" within the standard alcohol and drug rehab treatment that offers group programs and transportation to a local church. With chapel services onsite and offsite, biblical strategies, and a focus on Christ as a forgiving and loving higher power. Elements also has a Young Adult Program to focus on those clients that are more relapse-prone and deal with more unique issues, like their transition into adulthood.Aftercare
Some recovery centers offer good treatment, but don't offer aftercare, which severely impacts an addicts process to recovery after treatment. With Elements' aftercare, they provide a program that provides support and structure needed to ease back into everyday life while maintaining the sobriety the clients had while during treatment. With close contact with the staff and their care providers, clients can keep progressing and participate in meetings to help support their continuing sobriety. Elements' aftercare contains these elements, including the following:- Continued structure and support after treatment
- A chance to share with the rest of the group about progress and any struggles
- Opportunities to encourage other group members and provide support
- A strong family component
- Drug screenings
The Bad

Overall, Elements doesn't focus on the lasting effects of their programs or the research behind the elements. Without these two extremely important aspects, Elements may be a simple "spa getaway." Though they emphasize a lot of the more "fun" therapies, they don't detail what other types of medical therapies or talk therapies they use to help their clients become more able to resist their addiction and start on the road to recovery. And, rather than providing that information, they provide information for potential employees in a large "career" section.No Information about Locations
