For example, consumers can learn how to read their credit report, improve their overall score, and create a financial plan. There is a variety of personal finance articles as well. The Bad
- Lack of disclosure
- Limited company information
- Limited customer service access
Lack of Disclosure
Comenity does not disclose detailed information regarding available credit card offers. No information can be found regarding enrollment requirements, APR rates, or interest charges. There is also no information regarding eligibility requirements on past credit history for application approval. The only listed criteria that could be found is that consumers must be over the age of 18 years old to apply online. The financial services company does list the various credit card programs it works with when consumers type the word credit card in its website search engine. However, consumers must visit each company's website individual to access complete details. Individuals must also apply for each card individually that they are interested in. This can be a time-consuming process and consumers would be better off seeking out a credit card option from a similar competitor that is more upfront about the details of their products and services.Limited Company Information
Comenity does not disclose detailed information on its corporate website regarding its background or its executive leadership. There are no clear details on all products and services that the company offers and no information on where service branches are located throughout the United States. The company does describe its community service efforts, its address, and a few brief minor details.Limited Customer Service Access
The financial services company does not provide any phone number or email contact information on its website for consumers to reach a customer representative. There is no live chat option either. In order to contact a member of the company's Contact Care team for account assistance, consumers must type in the website search engine the store name or program that is provided on a member's billing statement. The only way for consumers to reach the company for answers to any question they may have is through filling out a short contact form on its website. The Bottom Line

I use comenity via Torrid. The low minimum makes it easy to pay on time and consistently. You are able to add multiple accounts to have as options to pay your bill and can name them (other accounts I have dont have the option to name your payment). It also sends an instant confirmation of payment which is nice. There is also mobile banking of sorts; it's a nice feature if you want to see your balance on the go with data/wifi and pay the bill if needed. Alos, my finance fees are pretty low.

I have had several accounts that their store card was through Comenty. I always paid my bills on time and I was never late. Every time I pay an account off they have closed my account. .This has happened to me with Catherines, Romans, my Husband's JC Penney, Old Navy, Jessica London, King Size, Brylane home, and Romans has reduced my credit line. Every time they do this they say they checked my credit report and because my credit score is lower now they closed or reduced my account. I did not authorize them to check my credit score because I did not request a credit increase. This company needs to go. They do not value good customers.

I have several "store cards" serviced by Comenity, and I've been happy with all of them. The terms are easy to understand, and there are no hidden fees.
