Cardiac is good to have as a reminder for services. However all information isn't accurate as far as mileage. Some device centers don't report to them so you will need to update services in car fax that you have completed at non participating service centers

My favorite part about CarFax is the ability to search up a car's history. This is a great asset in looking for a car. Their car search is also easy to use and you can see how many drivers it has had, any accidents, etc.

Carfax has been a great resource in looking into the history of all the vehicles we've purchased. The only thing I wish I could see is what type of owners owned the car previously (Personal vs fleet). I think we had to go to the dealership to get that information.

Carfax is the best thing you can use when researching a used car. They have several different payment options that work with anyone's budget. With our last carfax report I found issues that the seller was not disclosing. It gives you a complete vehicle history report. Won't buy another used car without getting a carfax report first.

I definitely recommend getting a CarFax when buying a used car. CarFax gives you detailed information about the maintenance history of the car and you can see if it has been in an accident or has a salvaged title.

Car fax reported that my air bags deployed and funny thing is I WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT and the day of he incident my car was at a shop getting upholstery work done and I couldn’t buy the new car I wanted because of Car Fax not verifying the information that they put on their reports.... what a ripoff company and I say LAWSUIT worthy...incompetence... I am pretty sure I would know if I had an accident and it would have been bad if my airbags went off...what a piece of crap company...stupid incompetent people work their DO THE JOB YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO ...REPORT ACCURATELY

Carfax wants customers to feel like they care so much about them finding a clean car w no accidents. They don’t tell customers that they overcharge dealers thousands of dollars to provide the consumer a check on there vehicles. I’m all about a company making money but if you really care about consumers make the reports affordable for your average dealer. For what they charge dealers AutoCheck is a better check on vehicles that is why most banks,lenders and Auto auctions do not check Carfax or honor any issues on Carfax. Why is that????

The Carfax said my Jeep had been in no accidents. Turns out the whole rear end has been replaced with salvage parts along with several parts under the hood and no telling what that i don't know about. The Carfax said if i could prove that it was wrong the dealer could be forced to buy it back. Wrong again. Basically, Carfax can say whatever they want and you are just stuck with it. Like I'm stuck with a 25 thousand dollar wrecked jeep.

I've used Carfax for years when researching vehicles and find their reports provide valuable information when assessing the history of a car. However, I recently learned that Carfax only provides information based on paid subscriptions to their service from car dealers. I learned that our dealer, one of the largest and most respected networks of luxury car dealerships in North Texas, did not subscribe to Carfax. I had copies of the original purchase record and all service records and asked Carfax to add them to my vehicle report so prospective buyers would have complete information.

I didn't care for CarFax when searching for a vehicle. I found that it seemed your search is only dealers that use CarFax, but often to see the actual "carfax" on a car you might get it, or you might have to buy it. For that reason, I didn't like them.
